The Case for NextGen

In “Apologetics and Catechesis – Part 1” I make the case that apologetics and catechesis have a mutually beneficial relationship with one another. Next in Part 2, I make the case that whereas apologetics involves a defense of the central teachings of Christianity, catechesis involves a delivery of the faithful teachings of Christianity. And on the NextGen page, resources are listed which support the use of philosophy in the faith formation of kids, tweens, and teens.

People of all ages are capable of asking the following three questions. 1) Does God exist? 2) Is Jesus Christ both human and divine? 3) Why does God allow bad things to happen? Theology addresses the first question. Christology addresses the second question. Theodicy addresses the third question. And the following three books attempt to answer these questions for kids.
